If you are basing your actions in life on what someone else may or may not think or say of you, then your priorities are in the wrong order. We are simply called to obey God and His instructions for us in His Word. We are called to speak the truth. In doing so, we are promised that the world to lash out at us for what we do and say in life. In all reality, they do not hate us, but they hate the Truth that we stand for. They hate that we seek to please Jesus in everything we do. They hate the One we follow.
"...truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey." - Isaiah 59:14

If you call yourself a Christian and you seek to obey the Word of God, know to expect opposition!
"In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 3:12-15
Go. Live. Obey. The results AND reactions from others are up to God!
